Sam, if you go to an herb shop see if they have some sort of oil with eucalypus, mint, menthol, winter green and that sort of thing. Those oils are very healing. Ask them for oil of olbas...this oil is mostly used for colds and congestion but it works great on pain....

I don't know specifically about your type of pain, but my mil said this one helped her:

If the pain is being caused by inflammation of the carpal tunnel, the heavy duty hand braces you can buy at Walmart help. My mil wears them at night. These are the ones that have the metal insert on the palm side. They keep the wrist immobilized in a neutral position while you sleep, which allows the inflammation to die down. (Have to be used for a week or more before you start noticing the relief.)

Toucan, when I went thru chemo, my hands did the same thing. It was sometimes inconvenient but I would submerse them in hot water and let them soak. If not water I put hot water in a hot water bottle and laid them across my hands.FOr some reason the warmth eased the nerves and such and stopped the pain. I also went to walmart and got the cheapest kind of heat therapy patches and cut them to fit on the top wrist/hand and they worked too. YOu can wear them out too. Hope this helps. ((((((HUGS))))))))0
