How do you corral a wandering foot pedal?
On all three of my use very often sewing machines the foot pedal just scoot around and I have a time getting them corralled. So they are on carpeting not on hardwood but it doesn't seem to help. I have tried several of the foot pedal holders from notions catalogs and none work. Some don't fit my machines foot pedal or they just scoot too. The best I have found is to sew barefoot and hold the darn thing with my toes. Other than duct taping it to the floor is there any thing else to be done?

My Bernina foot has nice rubber gripper pads that stay put on my carpet. Have you tried putting the rubber waffle stuff that you use on kitchen shelves under your foot? How about a rubber bathtub mat with the suction cups on top of the carpet?

I'm going to try Tartan's idea (sort of) - I have the rubber stuff that you put under rugs so they stay put on hardwood floors. I'm always hunting for my footpedal on the wood floor.

This is what I finally did for the one that's on carpet. On the vinyl floor I put velcro on the bottom of the foot control and on the floor on the spot where I wanted the FC to stay. So far so good.

Right now I don't use a foot pedal on my Brother but years ago I read this tip, tried it and it worked -- turn the foot pedal around (back to front). So simple but it really did work for me. Hope it does for you.

Mine used to wander around a lot and annoyed me too!
I tried a lot of different things, to no avail.
Alas! I realized, this was good, as I probably never sat in the exact same position.
I just got used to nudging it with my feet as soon as I sat down!
