I met a board member

Today I finally met dotcomdtcm (Dotty). We went for lunch at a dinner in Manhathan and then spent a couple of hours just talking. My, two quilters can really talk a lot. Sorry, no pic. Dotty, it was great meeting you. Thanks for a great afternoon. The next time we may actually sew together. The ride home was really smooth too.

That's wonderful to open a door to a new friendship.
When I attended a quilt class I met 5 other women who were so interesting and loved to quilt. In fact, I am friends with one of the women from the class and I feel blessed. If it weren't for that class I would have never met her. Once the class was over, we got together and made her quilt top large enough for her bed. We spent a lot of time talking and sewing and becoming friends. We brainstormed colors, border sizes and fabric for backing. Oddly enough, my kids and grandchildren love her and always ask me when is the sewing lady coming to visit again. She is a certified teacher and the kids were hoping she would find a teaching position in their school.
Enjoy your new found friendship.
