If some remember, he's an Iris hybridizer. In Iris, only the dwarf and a few intermediates are in bloom, but he has other flowers. ;)
Many photos were taken, but these are my favorites.

He's a lover of lilacs.

What a beautiful garden and fantastic pictures.
Do you take photos professionally, they are wonderful.
Between the beauty of all the flower and the smell of that lilac it must have been heaven out there.
I love flowers and you Dad and you are very talented!

Thanks! I'll send this link to dad--although he doesn't do computers, but his wife will show him.
no1jan--not professionally--just a hobby I wish I could do more with. It's hard to figure out what to do with all the photos I've got. Notecards--too much if shipping is involved. Calendars...too expensive to create so way too much to sell. I sold a few 4x6 at a craft show where I had quilted items... but I hate sitting at craft shows. So--I just share them with you and a few folks at work.
Dad is just two miles away. I used to work with him during Iris season, but then I got a teaching job and couldn't. He's a very busy man for the next several months. There's a brief quite time between Iris season and Day Lily sales. He'll be 75 this month and does all this work alone--the gardens go all over the place. See where I get my energy level?

Another new garden--a very tiny spot compared to all he has.
