Different strokes for different folks! I'm enjoying all these stories.
Back in my single days, I had a roommate that was Cajun. She would order fish - the entire fish - and wait until we were looking and eat the eyes! She loved our reaction! She also told stories of eating fresh crawdads straight from the river. She and her sisters would bite their heads off and suck the juice out of them. Yes, they were raw!
I grew up eating fried rabbit. Really tasty. I was surprised to learn that a lot of people won't eat rabbits because they are just too cute and also because of Thumper from Bambi.
The most strange food I have ever tried and liked is Calamari. But I will only eat the part that looks like onion rings and only when hot and with lemon juice.

We all have our "food thing", don't we. There are a lot of people who raise rabbits for food especially since they are very .... er ..... productive should we say? If you have two rabbits, you will have a ton eventually. Oh and people don't want to eat Thumper but they also don't want to eat Bambi and we are now overrun with deer (and therefore deer ticks, ick!) in many parts of the country.

I have eaten rabbit, venison, ostrich, boar, bison (from the market), horsemeat, and even tried whale blubber (crunchy). I actually had the ostrich at a Japanese restaurant sushi bar. We had the boar at a wine pairing dinner and the whale blubber at a party a long time ago (I don't know how they got some, since it's supposed to be illegal in the US).
Tartare is raw meat usually chopped with eggs and herbs.
