Keep your solar lights in the house and charged up if you are in the path of the new mega storm - due here on Sat night into Sunday - lots of ice expected. I have 4 of my solar lights sitting in my windowsill - getting charged up - hopefully our power will not go out - but the weathermen are warning us that might happen.

I keep reading about this and rejoicing thankfully that THIS TIME we in central VA are not in line for it.
My thought are for those, like you, who are; the predictions are horrible and worrisome. Please be safe!

I went to the grocery today, we live 10 miles out of town on winding curvy roads with no shoulder, plus the main road to town is flooded and we can't get through. Have to take the ridge road, when the water is up. This will only make things worse, but we are ready for it.

Lots of snow predicted here for Sun. PM into Monday. Oh well. Hopefully I can get in some sewing in between loads of laundry. For all those in the path...stay safe and warm. Stay off the roads if you possibly can.

I'm in western KY where we are being warned of an ice situation of up to 1/2 inch. Husband's family is in northern MO where they're talking 12+ inches of snow. Mother Nature can have this last fling, but after this one, she'd better skedaddle outta here! Tired of winter!!!

I have been isolated and incarcerated for most of this winter, so , what's one more? I have had three Dr's appts that I couldn't get to and the next one is scheduled for Tues. What do you wanna bet it is cancelled too.

Spoken like someone used to snow! "only 4-5 inches". That's like a dusting here! LOL! Hope everyone in the path of the storm stays safe and warm!

The local weatherman is predicting mainly sleet beginning Saturday night thru Sunday for my area. But just in case it is more freezing rain than sleet and the power goes out, I have filled milk jugs with water (got to have a working toilet) and am cooking a roast, stew and meatloaf that can be warmed on top of the fireplace insert. DH has plenty of firewood on hand. We have plenty of lamp oil and new wicks for the oil lamps (3 that belonged to DH's grandmother) Not worried but are prepared to be comfortable and occupied with hand sewing and reading. We'll be resting up for spring lawn work!!!
