Kitchen help, yay or nay?

Kitchen help, yay or nay?
Found a picture of this poem on FB, what do you think? I know my late DH, who did a lot of cooking, could have written this!! Me, I don't care, just don't get in my way.

I kind of get it! While everyone gathers in our kitchen for chit-chat and snacks, once the meal is done, I'll handle things! I don't put my china, wine glasses, or silverware in the dishwasher, nor my crystal serving pieces. I don't put my aluminum trays in there either. I enjoy hand washing things. I don't mind if you want to dry things and set them on the cleared table, but I'll put them away. My sons know to stay out of the way, but DIL and others want to jump in and help. Sometimes, if they've beat me to it, I'll wait till they've gone and remove things from the dishwasher that I want hand washed!

If someone wants to help I say the best way they can help is to just bring things into the kitchen. I don't like to clean up with people there, rather spend time with them. Dishes aren't going anywhere!!

I have a smallish kitchen but somehow manage to make a big mess especially when there is more than just the two of us. I just ask that people help take the plates, cutlery, glasses from the dining area into the kitchen and leave me to do what I do with them alone. Anymore than 1 person in the kitchen and we end up doing the "kitchen dance" around each other. Very inefficient waste of time and energy.
