Looking for Pattern: Flannel/Fleece boxer short/PJ bottoms
#1
How was that for a title?
Can anyone recommend a quick, simple pattern for boxer short/PJ bottoms? I'm looking for a "no side seam" pattern that is quick and easy. The guys on the Xmas list really like the JOE BOXER type flannel pants with the drawstring waists. Long story made short - my single-mom GD lost her job  and I talked to her about making her Christmas presents this year. She does not sew but she will be now with Grandma's help. She's really enthusiastic about it.
I'm going to make pre-cut kits for her to put together and thought these bottoms would be something she could make for her dad and brothers and nephew. We are making pillowcases, hot pads, 10-minute table runners, stove-handle "dress" towels and fleece blankets. And she wants to try making totes, too. Who knows, I may have a convert  I certainly have enough stash for both of us. But if she decides to make flannel boxers or PJ bottoms, we will have to go shopping for flannel. I have enough fleece if she goes that way.
Thanks
