A friend at work wanted me to make her some rice bags.
I made 2 for her and 1 for me.
The first picture is the rice bag and the second picture is the covers
i make to go on them. I like to be able to wash the cover when i want to.

I love rice bags. They came in handy these past few weeks for pain relief. I keep three in the freezer and a couple in the drawer to heat in the microwave.
The ones in the freezer are shaped like a "U" to wear on the neck and shoulder area. They work great to reduce a fever or cooling off on a hot day.

Using flax seeds also make wonderful bags. The smaller seeds conform so gently to the curves of a hurting body or if your just plain cold. A good warmer upper. All you need to do is double seam so the little seeds don't escape. And they smell so nice! Sort of a nutty scent. My family has called the Flax Babies for years and years now.
