There are six; mama, papa and 4 young ones. Mama has been trapped, spayed/rabies shot and released. The rest will be TNR next month. There is a local group that helps me trap them. Papa is a huge manx; one of the babies, Sweetie is colored so much like her mom but is without her tail like her dad. The others all have tails. Two of the young can be picked up; working on the other two. The adults are so very feral I don't think they will ever be tame. Mama would be combative if you got too close. A couple of times I have had her almost come at me. Hope you enjoy seeing my wild ones!
Sweetie, the tamest one.

Fred, next tamest.

BigBoy, will be a huge cat.

LittleGir, dainty and runt of litter.

MamaCat; no more babies.

Thanks for sharing the pics... THey are beautiful. WE live in the country and have a number of feral cats here... One poor mam gives birth regularly and we will see a few kittens, then nothing. Then mama appears again... She is VERY antisocial, but we will be working with the local TNR group to alleviate that issue.... She just had three kittens and we managed to trap one...About 5 weeks old, and doing very well....hopefully we can get the rest and mama and get everyone neutered....But she is a good mouser! And she does not bother my chickens...

They are adorable! I rescued a kitten about 8 weeks old out of the engine of my friend's co workers truck on Friday the 13. Poor thing was feral also. He had mostly facial injuries from being in the engine compartment. Gash over left eye, all his teeth broken and the gum cut on his left lower jaw. He went straight to the vet and then home. Weren't sure if he had a head injury or not so wasn't sure he would live. Well, he hid forever and ran when humans came near him. He would come out and play with the other cats but never let us touch him. Eventually he got where he would come up on the couch near me to curl up with the oldest female cat. One time when he was asleep, I just reached over and gently rubbed his head. Soon, over a course of time, he would come for the attention and LOVED tummy rubs! We had him over a year before we could physically touch him but it was so worth the wait. And his name you ask? Lucky SOB!
