Any one have one? He is very ill he is about 8 inches long and for the last 3 days has laid on his side in the bottom of the tank he is not eating, He is still alive and tries to swim and the other fish are trying to make him get up. Any ideas I think he is dying.

I have searched all over the internet and tried everything I could find I think it is to late for him too. I rescued and Oscar that was about the same size and he had such a personality He would sort Marbles by color and if he wanted attention would spit them at the side of the tank. I felt bad when he died but I didn't know his age Jack is about 3, 4 at the most.

Yes when they get that big and you loose them you can't send them to the big tank in the sky by flushing. Are you sure they are trying to help him or are attacking him? I just had to move one of ours into his own 29 gallon the 125 gallon was to small with the other 3 oscars and convicts starting picking on him think they were in "mood" they were digging to make nest in gravel.my thoughts are with you

No they aren't picking on him they sit by him and will nudge under him trying to get him to swim but not pestering him. I am going to refrain from checking him anymore tonight I want to keep it dark in his room so he can rest or die in peace.
