I am back home, after 6 days and almost 3000 miles later. My son now has his furniture and cat. The cat was so happy to be back with him.

The cat wasn't really any problem..... she whined some but I had a large dog cage that held her litter box, her bed and her. I put a blanket over the cage so she was not affected by the goings on around her and she slept some during the trip. You all helped so much with your suggestions. Here is the post that gave me so many ideas.

So happy it worked out for all of you and know your son is happy to have his cat back. Certainly learned a lot from other board members about traveling with a cat of ever I have to do this.
