No pattern, no problem
Last weekend my DD wanted to make a stuffed toy chicken for a leadership project. I didn't have a pattern so we decided to "wing it". She did the drawing and I taught her about gussets. It was a 3 hour collaboration that resulted in . . .

We had a blast making the chicken and DD loves it. She says it perfect. Needless to say we won't be publishing a stuffed chicken pattern anytime soon, but it was a great sewing lesson for her and I realized that I really do know how to sew.

Cute chicken. Without the waffle and comb, he could have been a bluebird of happiness.
Heh, heh, heh, auto correct strikes again - I was going for waddle not waffle.
