I saw a thread a week or so ago about the type of books our members like to read, and I hope some of you like Tony Hillerman.
Our daughter won the Hillerman Prize last year for the best unpublished mystery set in the west. The book will be released on October 25 of this year. The title is ”The Territory”.
She made me a quilt for Christmas a few years ago, and I will always treasure it.

How marvelous for a young writer to get such a running start on her career!!
I've loved Tony Hillerman's books for many years. We used to buy them for our Army SIL when he was overseas, and couldn't help reading them before sending them off. Got hooked on them, they are marvelous. I spent 3 or so years on the res in Yuma, and learned how close to reality this writer is. Lots of them just repeat a lot of old tales that have no reality in them.
