75% of Queensland is a disaster area. The Brisbane river has broken it's banks and the Brisbane central business district is expecting to be flooded. The airport is closed.Worse than the 1974 floods.A number of people have dies and about 60 are missing.

I am watching this on TV in Sydney. I have contacted friends in West End just on the river in Brisbane. They are on the ground floor of a block of apartments. They have a disabled son.
They have kindly been given use of an apartment on a higher level. For them the highest level will be on Thursday. Australia is certainly a country of extremes. Our prayers go to all affected by this disaster.

Just seen the special news cast in Adelaide. What a disaster and the rain is still pouring down. Brisbane has already had flash floods but are expecting that wall of water from Toowooba to arrive tomorrow. Hope all our QB members are safe. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all and our money has gone to the Premiers flood relief fund. SA is expecting rain in the next day or two and some of this water may cause flooding of the Murray River system.
