Quick gift for 4 y.o. Girl?
I need a quick gift for my great-granddaughter who lives far from me. Have already made her a dress, a quilt, a stuffed bunny and just can't think of anything else. Anybody have some suggestions? Oh, and a pillowcase, too.

My niece just asked me for a felt board. She saw the applique dresses/overalls for the Sunbonnet Sue/Sam quilt that I am making her & insisted that I didn't need to sew the pieces together. After wasting some time trying to educate her about what makes a quilt (she is surprisingly interested & says she wants to start learning when she is 6), I started asking about if she would like a felt board. She LOVED the idea! So ... I know what she's getting for Christmas.
I'm going to make a simple, lightweight feltboard out of cardboard and felt & then cut the pieces out of fabric and either serge them or maybe, if I'm too lazy, just put some FrayCheck on them and call it a day. She's a very imaginative little girl and I know she will derive hours and hours of fun from such a simple toy.
EDIT: Just saw she lives far from you, so a board isn't super practical, maybe just a nice folded piece of felt with a couple grommets or clips on the top so she can hang it where she desires.

ooohhh.... you can NEVER go wrong with a princess dress for a 4 year old. And I'm sure yours would be much, much better quality than those flimsy dresses they sell at the store. Both my nieces love those (ages 3.5 and 2), but they started fraying within hours of the first time they put them on. The Queen Elsa (Frozen) dresses seem to be especially popular right now.
