Ravelling Fabric
#1
A few weeks back someone posted a hint on how to get fabric not to ravel in the washer and dryer by snipping the edge a certain way before washing. I would really like to read that hint again and try it but can't find it in our lists of topics on the QB. Can you please repost or send me a PM. Thanks, Mary

Some say to trim the fabric corners. However, that didn't work for me. It may have something to do with how much yardage you are washing together; not sure.
I think the most full-proof method is to serge the edges (if you have a serger!).

You cut off the corners at a 45 degree angle - about a half inch depending on width of selvage. I wash on gentle cycle only 6 minutes. This has worked good for me. Some people pin their corners together too. That would probably keep yardage from twisting.
