Since a lot of you ladies go cujo on the family...........LOL
When they use your Gingher's or other good shears for paper-cutting, cardboard hacking, hair trimming or cutting the matted hair off the dog,or maybe even trimming their nose hairs........etc.....
Have I found the perfect solution!!!!!!
I saw this at the sporting goods store.

That is a good idea! If they made it a little more "quilt-like" they could sell them in LQS's. They could also sell those Comic Book boards. I was suggesting to the fellow at my Comic Book Store he should introduce himself to the LQS owners in the area and see if he could leave some cards there so others will come and get them instead of ordering on the internet.

I told my family members that if they so much as touched my gingers,I would cut off their arms at the elbows! My grown daughters always ask to borrow other lady's scissors out of habit!LOL. I have several pair of very cheap yards ale scissors all over the hose, and still hide my good ones.

I solved the don't use my good scissors problem. I bought good scissors for the household use. The same as what I use in my sewing room. No one looks for the good scissors anymore, they are all good. If a pair gets ruined I replace them with ones from my sewing room and buy a new pair for my sewing room. Scissor manufacturing has changed dramatically so the good scissors are not hard to find or expensive as they use to be.

I keep a couple of pairs of old scissors scattered around the house and they can cut tin cans with those for all I care. The good scissors never leave my sewing room and I better not catch anyone in there using them to cut gasket material and everyone has been warned they will see a serious Irish fit if they use those. If I bring them out for any reason I put them on a lanyard around my necK!
