So sad...fur baby attacked
#1
I just talked to my only aunt in Chattanooga. She and my uncle has had a little apricot poodle for about 14 or 15 years. Ginger was getting slower and couldn't hardly see, so they never let her outside by herself. The other night my uncle took Ginger out for her last duty of the night before bedtime and while she was walking a coyote came from the neighbors yard and grabbed her and took her off. They are devastated and my heart is breaking for them. I can't get that image out of my mind.

Rexie that is too sad...we have coyotes here too...I live about 5 miles out of town in the middle of an alfalfa field. We can't keep an outside cat around. What the coyotes don't get the owls or hawks do.. I can't imagine how your Gpa & Gma must feel.

animals are literaly our fur babies they become part of the family. I am so sorry this happened to them and their little dog. these things can happen so quickly and it is out of our control to protect them in cases like this. I feel so sorry for them. And you. if the images come to mind try to think of the last time you saw the dog or of some happy memory of the dog, and try not to dwell to much on what happened.
Hugs to you all

I am so sorry. That is devistating. I have a little furbaby and worry about the same thing. We have had a hawk flying overhead alot the past few days and it scares me to death. You poor aunt....again, so sorry.

I am so sad to hear about that. We have a terrible problem where I live too, and that's in a huge city. We have a lot of ravines and parks in Toronto and lots of shoreline too, so the coyotes love it here.
