You are all too funny. I can agree with all of you, with the exception of being post menopausal and hot flashes. I seem to get most of my exercise at night from throwing the covers off because I am so hot and then a few minutes later gathering them all up because I am freezing cold. I keep my heater turned off at night and I still wake up hot. I thought the hot flashes were suppose to stop when we got to the other side...

Old is just a state of mind, and now at 70 I don't worry about losing mine anymore because if I can't remember why I went into a room I blame it on a senior moment. If I forget a birthday it's because of a senior moment. If I...? I forget what I was going to say, oh well just another senior moment.

For me, at 47, its been our youngest graduating from HS last summer, being able to feel some empty nesting freedom in the future, and 29 years of marriage to my best friend. Much of the stress of raising teenage daughters is gone, my relationship with my husband is comfortable, deep, and strong, and I've learned to say no to some things.
I also had a hysterectomy, which for me, was a very good surgery-I feel much better and no more period!
I think I'm also discovering what I like, who I am, and becoming more comfortable with all of that.

This post is hilarious! Brought back a memory with my granddaughter. I was telling her something and in the middle of it I forgot what I wanted to say, her comment, "Don't worry grandma, it will come back, it always does," Must be it happened before. LOL
jothesewer2 I am a mere 76 but look forward to 81 and still have your sense of humor and be able to still sew quilts.
