I was having a bit of insomnia and well found this book site where you can get 4 books for $1 and then 1 book at half off and you only have to purchase one more. I have belonged to this before and have not found a good seclection of quilting books until now!!
Hari Walners : Continuous Line Quilting Designs.
Why I like it: This book has taken me from the oh my gosh how am I going to do this to start thinking of what block will work with my designs. He shows what batting looks like with what thread very cool! I LOVE the many designs and how they break them down and the pictures they have with them are amazing I feel like there is not one that I cannot do. His main point on FMQ is Practice, Practice and Practice.
Start Struck Quilts by Barbara H. Cline
Barbara walks you through the process of making these amazing star blocks. She explains that yes you do have to do Y seams but if you start with the first quilt pattern and keep at it you will have no problem with Y seams! She explains many different ways to conform your stars into elaborate masterpieces!
Layer Cake, Jelly Roll and Charm Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott
Why I like this book : We all have Charm packs, Jelly Rolls and Layer cakes with no idea what to do with them well this book really gives you many many ideas and beautiful quilts that do not look like your using precut fabric! It explains how many of each type of precuts you need and I have to say I will be making many of these very easy to do quilts!
I really do think these three books are great for those who are beginning FMQ or quilting they are a great place to start feel free to add your own books you like!!
