Tea Towels...
When it comes to tea towels, do you have a selection of fabrics at your disposal for specialty things such as stemware, crystal, etc?
I have linen, waffle-knit, and terry towelling, with my linen and waffle-knit selections being my go-to tea's that I always use.
If not soiled or greasy after use, tea's get hung over the front bar of the stove door to dry!
Tell me what you have and if you practice the same as me when it comes to hanging them to dry after use.
Also, do you prefer classic one-colour or pattern tea's, or do you go for whimsical scenes and patterns?

right now I prefer orange because that is what I painted my kitchen which is mostly made up of cream cabinets. I've tried lots of kinds would just like to find something sold as a tea towel that actually wiped things dry.
Don't have different types for different dish/stem/silver ware.
the hand and tea towel hang at the sink and get changed each evening, the wash cloth gets changes after every meal.
Rituals where would be we without them

I always wanted either a pale yellow kitchen, or pale green/blue.

I love gifting the whimsical tea towels and potholders. They are an easy project for your hands during t.v. time. Last christmas I sent six sets to family of the dancing, singing and playing musical instruments veggies. Also, I embroidered a set of micky and minnie hand towels in the kitchen for my sis. A vintage pattern I bought on E bay.
I buy the Irish linen hand towels from ebay. The regular -colored stripes one I get from the aunt martha store. Now a while back someone said that they buy their towels from a farm supply store. ??? I can't remember all the details about it.

Nothing like gifting whimsical Christmas tea's to family/friends come the holidays, and somehow opening up the tea towel drawer and pulling out something with a fun, warm, and whimsical pattern/scene on it, just has a way of making one feel good inside.
Will be looking intothe Irish tea's you speak of. Thank you for the heads-up on them.
