I have a baby one in process now using the small template.
I started with a 7x9 grid but will have to have wide borders to bring it to size. Would add another 2 rows but don't have enough fabric. I think the next one will start with a 9x11 grid. What was your original layout?
Fun to do & love that it comes out looking difficult! Will post again when complete.

I have made several using the smaller 3½" template. It is great for charm packs, 5"scrappy squares, or even a planned twister. There is some waste but the smaller bits can be used for bowties, stars, let your imagination take hold. This is what I did with batik scraps I had. Made 5 lap-sized quilts.
