Use to live on an army base( Atlanta General Depot)Dad was Army 24 years. went to school one year in Jonesboro. I can't remember snow there, but we had some real dozzy ice storms. I live in West Texas now where you can have a blizzard, ice fog, wind storm, sun stroke and drown from 10 inches of rain all in one 24 hrs.LOL so enjoy you snow.

Just spoke with my sister in Marietta/Roswell, GA area and she was so excited to see the snow too. She said she was not going to go out because it's too dangerous. I asked her how much snow she had and she said almost an inch!...LOL
She explained to me how treacherous an inch of snow is down there.

to handle a lot of ice. We see so little of it each year if any. Many of the inexperience people think they can drive on it like usual. That is the main problem here in the south. :-(

I remember when I visited that there are also lots of steep hills and winding turns...I was scared to drive them in the summer time, so I can't even imagine how scary they are when they are icy!...Glad we do have snow trucks and all that up here.
