What's outside your quilting window?
I believe there was a thread here last year with this subject....now that it's cooler and the garden is about put to bed for the winter, there is more time to sew!

You have a lovely view! So do I. I stationed my sewing machine directly in front of a window so I could be a nosy neighbor--I mean--enjoy the activity of neighbors and their pets and their friends! The colors haven't really started to change here yet.

The New York skyline just across the Hudson River, with the Empire State Building directly opposite us. The cruise ships are right opposite too, a ferry runs every half hour between NY and NJ, there's always something to see.

I have a Magnolia bush which my sister in law and family gave me when my husband died. I also have, in that area, a bird bath, bird feeders and I can sit there and sew away and watch the birds enjoying their day. Will be putting up an "oasis" this winter with a few more shepherd's crooks and hang more bird feeders, suet feeders and hangers for peanut butter and oranges and apples! We are on the top of a hill and I can see neighbors walking by and waving to them and cars and bikers. It is a neat place to be and when I need a bit of a break, I take my little Bungee chair from Target and slide over to the Yamaha Klavinova and play for a bit and limber up those old fingers and then go back to my sewing. Life is good! Edie

Unfortunately my window faces the street and my ugly neighbors and their way too many vehicles. We are planing to put in a front patio with walls and plants so we won't have to see the ugly across the street. We had a nice neighborhood until this bunch moved in.
