Another Board Newbie
Hello everyone!
I love quilting and quilters! I always enjoy interaction with other quilters because I can always learn something new from them.
I am an admirer of "nostalgic" things. In my past life I helped people write their personal histories and found each individual "history" so beautifully unique. I find quilting brings me the same joy. I enjoy piecing quilt tops and then having my dear friend machine quilt them.
My mother, also a quilter, was just the opposite and I quote: "How silly to cut up a good piece of cloth and then have to sew it back together." She hand quilted my quilts before she died and I miss her. Hopefully I will find some "mothers" in this group to fill the quilting void.
I am a wife, mother of 7 and grandmother of 11 1/2 grandchildren--an 18 year old granddaugher and 10 grandsons (with one on the way). I am truly blessed and anxious to make some new friends.
Rose Marie
