Another Hoosier Quilter

Hi Jane! Well Mom had the right idea - I'm sure she's hoping you'll get it all finished and I think you will. You don't need inspiration from us - You already have the inspiration from her. Just start and it will buzz along and before you know it you will have fulfilled her wish! Happy Quilting - Mom will be watching! :-)

Welcome from Missouri. So sorry about your mother. I almost stopped quilting all together right when I began, as the person who was to be the recipient of my very first quilt passed before I finished it. I picked a project as far from those colors and patterns as possible for my next project, and to this day I haven't finished that first quilt. It is so wonderful that she has left these quilts for people in the family. I'm still waiting on my mother to finish my afghan she promised when I was small... i'm going to be 31 in January so i'm not holding my breath at this point.

First of all, my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your mother. That's a tough one and I can relate. I totally understand where you are in the grieving process right now. I know you will pick up where you and your mom left off. I love that she wanted her future grandbabies to have something in memory of her.
