Back again!
Hi all,
I wanted to say 'hello' to everyone again! I started homeschooling my son this fall and we've been doing some roadschooling (a.ka. RV travel) so I haven't been on the board in a while.
We are back in town for a few months and I'm hoping to do some quilting (especially Bonnie's Mystery)!
Glad to see you all again!

yes, welcome back.
I have a funny story about homeschooling. On July 9, 1980 we picked up the two kids, brother and sister, mixed race, that we were promised in a private adoption. They had been in trouble in school and pleaded with us to homeschool them. I was qualified to do so, but really thought they'd be better off in a more structured environment. But I said ok, I would, but the rule was that they had to get on the bus and attend the first day of classes to get the paperwork all straight.
But when they came home, they had decided to attend this new school and that they didn't need me to homeschool them. They did very well in this new school, which was in a different state. They won awards and excelled. They had us, and a much more stable environment than they had ever had. The school was ready and made them feel so welcome, they had new friends and I was happy for them.
