Duvet covers
#1
I have been following these threads for some time now and finally decided to join. I have learned so much (1st is that I can spend waaaay toooooo much time reading it all). I have not done any quilting yet but have been sewing and crafting for about 60 years (my Mom did a lot of crafts (including all hand quilting large quilts) & I always helped. I have been collecting books & patterns so will start something before very long.I noticed the mention of duvet covers. I would like to do that. Tell me how you put it together: do you back the top and quilt the 2 layers and then add a an unquilted layer to make the backing? Or do you just do a top and back with no quilting? Do you button it on so that it stays in place? Love all your ideas and avitars & signatures.

You can do it however it will work best for you. At the top of this page is "SEARCH" click on that then put in what you want to know or see. You will find lots of info on just about any quilt related topic. Enjoy the search. Welcome from Louisiana!:)

Hi and welcome from the sunny state of Florida!!
I've only made two duvet covers and used two layers(quilted them together) and combined it with the third layer. I used the velco strips to close it and put HUGE buttons on top just for show!
