Good morning from Southern California.
I have been sewing and crafting since I was a kid, and have most recently spent my time with mixed-media art and art-journaling. My sewing machine is a 30 year-old Kenmore, and it has turned out children's clothing, costumes, pillows, curtains, a Civil War ballgown and numerous men's Civil War shirts (from authentic 1859 patterns - yikes!), paper-pieced projects, and art-journal embellishments.
Quilting is something I've always been interested in, but aside from a couple of hand-sewn small-scale crazy quilt experiments, and one hand-sewn block from a kit, I have, up until now, never taken the plunge into a full scale project. I am currently endeavoring to create my first quilt and am learning something new every 15 minutes, or so it seems. But I am a believer in learning from the journey, so all is well!
I look forward to learning from all of the great folks on this site, and hope that, in time, I can contribute as well.
