I just realized I have been a member of this board for 6mo and have never introduced myself. How rude am I?!
Officially I am a senior, that's according to my birth certificate...not my brain. She says I'm a thirtysomething.
Worked as a registered nurse for over thirty years, mostly maternity and psychiatry. Believe me, the two areas have more in common than you think!
Live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland...home of the blue crab. It's flat, not prone to earthquakes or tornadoes, and usually not subject to that nasty white wintery stuff. A beautiful place, but then I am prejudiced.
Have been married to DH for 36yrs. He's a sweetie, he never, ever questions my quilting habits and he's a pretty good cook.
Not so much a handy man but that's okay.
Also have one grown son (33yo). Alas, no grandchildren in
the future as Michael's GF is 40yo and cannot have any more babies. Oh, well, my bad knees would not let me enjoy them to the fullest anyway.
No pets at present. We are cat lovers and at one time had five beautiful ones that we took on as strays. The deaths of the last three took too much out of me.
Have been quilting since I was in nursing school. I love to select fabrics and piece but my favorite technique is hand applique. I machine quilt small items but I have large items machine quilted by a long-armer. I confess, I just plain don't like the quilting part.
Oh, yeah, will someone please tell me who Konstantin is?
