Hello everyone! My name is Tabby and I am the wife of a U.S. Marine. We are currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan and we are almost 1 yr into a 3 yr tour here. We have 2 boys, ages 11 and 9.
I took my first quilting class in October of last year and have been hooked! I can't remember how I found this message board but I am glad I did!
Where is the best place to post pics of fabric for help with a Bargello quilt? I plan on using Barb_Mo's tutorial.
Thanks and I look forward to meeting you all and sharing in this passion!

I LOVE OKINAWA!!!!! My favorite place in the entire world!! You are so fabulously lucky. We did 2 tours there!
Just take the pics and post with your questions, the ones that know will answer, just make sure you ask a question! Don't just say "Here is is"

Hello & welcome from NE Alabama. Tabby, may I ask where you're from in the States? I'm the Ex of a deceased Army soldier/Viet Nam Vet. We were stationed on TN/KY line at Ft. Campbell KY, lived in Hopkinsville, KY; Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, Landstuhl, Germany, San Francisco lived in Marin Co CA, San Antonio, TX & back to AL where we are originally from. Marines have their own bases, but you may have lived in one of the same States.
Glad you found us on the QB.com.

Welcome from sunny North Carolina. Tell your DH thanks for his service and you too for supporting him. I admire all those who go into military - families included because it is a sacrifice for all. You'll find all the help you need here. And if you visit general chit-chat you will laugh and cry with the rest of us. These ladies have such a sense of humor - makes my day.

Sheila,
We are from Hartville/Lebanon, Missouri. My hubby actually did some job training at Ft. Leonard Wood and my mom lives about 30 minutes from there in Lebanon. We have been stationed in Jacksonville, NC twice for 3 yrs each time, this is our second tour to Okinawa, and we have been stationed by Kansas City, MO. That is where we were before comign here. The Marines don't really get any of the fun duty stations like Germany and England, lol!
