Hello from Oregon
I came upon this board looking for different quilting ideas and longarm quilting times. I think I'm going to look at the Bargello quilt tutorial from Barb_MO. That looks beautiful!
I've been sewing for over 40yrs and have been quilting on and off for the last 20 of those years. My mother and my aunt taught quilting classes for a number of years and I learned from them.
My aunt passed a little over a year ago and I was blessed with half of her fabric stash, which my mom gave me more like 2/3 of her stash. She was housebound the last 3-5 yrs of her life and bought quilts in boxes and fabric. My share filled My SUV three times! I have quilt fabric for a lifetime.
I'm a stay at home mom to a 4th grader and I'm getting into gardening. We purchased a house last May and this year is the year the entire 1600sf will be planted. Daunting to me, but as they say, go big or go home.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the knowledge and hopefully sharing some my own. Thanks!

Welcome from the next state up!
How wonderful to come from a quilting background, I am self-taught and some basic things took me years to master, happy to share my learning from mistakes so that maybe others don't need to. I've also been quilting for about 40 years, I started as a senior in high school though so I'm not as old as I sound sometimes 59 this year.
I think I can say for the rest of us -- we love pictures! Please share.
