Hi everyone. I’m Marilyn from Lancaster, PA. I started quilting early this year. For my first project I made a lap robe (that “just happens” to fit my table as a tablecloth). Since then I’ve made a twin-bed quilt for my 85 year old mother, a double-bed quilt for my guest room, a king-size bed quilt for me (pieced but still needs to be quilted), cathedral window valences for my mother’s kitchen windows, six wall hangings, a bargello shower curtain, and I’m currently hand-quilting another lap robe.
I guess you can tell that I’m addicted. I’m also anxious to try foundation piecing and appliqué. There are so many quilt patterns I’d like to make and so little time. :c)

Marilyn, you've done all that? Are you sure you're not triplets?? I'm truly amazed, and yes, you truly are "hooked"! Hope you find time to read the forum postings, join in the chat room and tell us about your many works in progress. Welcome!

There is only one of me, BUT I'm retired and have had numerous medical problems this past year that have kept me basically homebound. This leaves me with a lot of time to quilt. I don't spend much time on the computer (can't stay away from quilting), and I'm unfamiliar with chat rooms and how they work. However, I will give it a try sometime.

Marilyn, welcome to the forum! You sure have been a busy new quilter. So glad you shared your story with us, as many of us totally understand the addiction. Sure didn't take you long to jump in and aquire the bug. I also am retired due to medical problems. Quilting has become a passion of mine and I love the fact that quilters are the most sharing and accepting people. We are glad you have joined us, and I look forward to seeing some of your work in the future. :D

Thanks, Boo, for the welcome. I plan on posting pictures, but I need to take them first, then figure out how to post them. I'll probably be asking everyone what I need to do to post them.
Happy Holidays !
