Hello from Texas

Hi Everyone - It's a delight to read about your sewing adventures here ... and it's about time I joined in the fun.
My quilting experience is rather bumpy. I returned to my sewing machine 18 months ago, after a 20-year absence. What a transformation from calico fabrics and a Singer treadle machine in 1988 to a Brother embroider-quilt-and do-everything machine in 2010!
And how 'bout all that rotary cutting and quilt design software - and all those gorgeous kits!?! I'm still marveling.
Over these months, I've completed 4 quilts, am in the midst of binding another one, quilting 2 more, and have 5 others in various stages of piecing. I LOVE variety! And my system of working on each and every one of them every week, even if just for an hour or two -seems to be working.
I look forward to learning lots more from all of you.
Kathy

Hey! Where in Grapevine? After a first very cold winter in grapevine in 1983, we bought a house in Grapevine on Cripple Creek between Kimball and Dove Rd. Long time ago when Southlake was just a newly developing area with 1 acre lots and 114 was just being built!!
Moved to Keller, then Plano with my quilt store, then Austin after that. I'm now single, retired, and live "back at home" in the Blue Ridge Mountain area for VA.
Sure not missing Texas today! Be safe this weekend!
