Hello from Virginia
#1
I think I am finally ready to introduce myself. I am Elaine and I live on a farm in VA. I learned to quilt when I was very young. I don't see very well anymore so I have slowed down but I love to talk about it. It seems that the nicest people are on this board. Everyone is so helpful and ready to do anything for anyone. I think that I would like to stay around for a while if I may.

Please do stay a long while!
Hi from Bedford, VA, where I also live on a farm!
My house is a rental cottage that was the summer kitchen for an 1811 plantation house. It's been added onto, of course, and I do love it so much, though it's plenty cold in the winter. This old brick, made on the property, was so porous, it just sucks up the cold and damp. I had to invest in a good dehumidifier to protect my textiles. We also have the original well house (now used for storage) and a rock-wall surrouned family cemetery, though it is long since overgrown.
You are welcome to come by any time if you're close by.
