Howdies from Possum Trot, KY
#1
I'm an oldie but a newbie too.
I've made just plain block quilts that were hand tied with string or yarn in years past and called them "good nuff" and they're still around being loved on so I guess they were "good nuff".
My profile picture is the first quilt I just finished using a real pattern layout...well the center was from a quilting book and of course I had to change almost everything about it. This was for our 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter that didn't get her "being born" quilt since her room colors hadn't been decided and well... it was kinda forgotten about. (insert Bad Nana sad face here).
Now a new granddaughter is on the way and I'm working on a quilt for her. I'm doing the "Tumbling Block" strip quilt. I've managed to do some test strips and think I have it figured out between the web instructions and videos. Now I just have to get it all laid out in my mind with colors and then get to cutting.
I've "stalked" the site for a while and thought I'd throw my possum tail into the fray. You really can google "Possum Trot, KY" ... you'll find us not too far from Monkey's Eyebrow.
