Welcome from Ontario, Canada. You might like to view some of the Youtube videos done by Jenny Doan for the Missouri Star Quilt Co. Start with a simple table-runner and you will soon be ready to tackle a quilt. If you have a local quilt shop that offers basic lessons, it is a good place to start also.

Welcome from the SHO-ME state - Missouri. First, do you sew at all? Have a sewing machine? Do you have any knowledge of fabrics? You might go to your local library and ask to see books about beginning quilting or sewing. Ask questions here too.

Welcome from Indiana! You are not "dumb"; you are uninformed! Do you have a Joanna or a local quilt shop or a Hancock Fabrics nearby? Most offer beginning sewing and/or quilting classes. There are lots of learning videos on the internet. And this board is an amazing source for information. Don't hesitate to ask questions; you will get lots of help!
