Hi,
I am a new quilter, and new to the message board. I have gotten all I know about quilting from the internet, and books. I have been now 2 years into quilting. I make a lot of wall hangings for gifts for family and friends. I finally kepy my first item for myself, as it is a one block mariners compass, I am told by everyone it is beautiful, and to keep for myself. So I think I will. I am 64, and a busy person, that lives on a farm.
I am presently looking for a free bargello quilt pattern.
I did not mean to give you a book about myself, so bye for now-

Thank you to all who sent me places to search, and thank you for all the welcomes. Now if I just had a few minutes to start looking at them, but my husband has damaged his knee, that leaves all the critter chores to me. Thanks, Joyce

Welcome Joyce! Hope your hubby's knee is better soon. You have my sympathy. My husband fell last winter and ruined both knees and they still haven't healed. :?
Did you find a bargello pattern you liked?

Yes, Thank you Tiffany I did from Fons and Porter, I actually got all my fabric tea dyed and the strips cut and sewed together. That is a start!!
Now give me a few weeks and I may get back to it. Sorry to hear about your hubby's knees. My hubby has already had 3 knee surgeries. And I pray this will heal without surgery HELP!!!!
My husband is not a good patient!!!
Happy Spring, Joyce

Joyce..I have a bargello started, but am intimadated too. I am trying to think of a way to cut the strips into say 12", put together like a block, then sew the blocks together. Do you think this might work? Seemed hard for me to keep my eye on the pattern, then to the fabric. I'm going to try someday. If you're not to old by then maybe it would help you too. Linda
