Hi,
I am new to the forum. I live in NC. I first learned to quilt from my mother and her mother. They taught me the old fashioned way. You cut the pieces out by hand and sewed them together by hand. I now use a rotary cutter and mat. I also sew the top together on my sewing machine. Yea, what a great time saver. I still however do the actual quilting by hand using the old fashioned quilting frame that hangs from the ceiling. I set this up in my basement where I have the room. I can leave this up and it is out of the way. I have not quilted for years. I started back last year. A co-worker and I love searching for patterns on the web.

HI
I read your message on the board, and I noticed that you said you quilt the old fashion way (By Hand), and that you have a quilt frame set up in your basement , the kind that you can pull up to the celing, out of the way. I wanted to know if you could help me. Last year for Christmas a very good preacher friend of mine gave me a antique quilt frame for a present, but he did'nt have any instructions how to put it together, I was wondering if maybe yourself or some one you might know could give me any info, on how to set this up. I would appreciate any help that you could give me. I quilt by hand and machine.
