Hello & welcome from Texas. So glad you found this board & there are a lot of friendly quilters here who are ready & willing to help you with any problems or questions you have. I've never tried curves but if I do I will have to start on very soft curves first. We like pictures & would love to see some things you are working on.

Hello from just a bit further north. Hope you are having lovely weather where you are, we had a hot summer and so are having a much brighter Fall than usual in Seattle.
I've been putting off my next big project which is a grandmother's fan but I think I'm out of excuses. So I'll either be doing some curves very soon in my future or maybe I'll do the attic window variation and the set in Y seams I've also been putting off instead.

Welcome from South Louisiana. We've been to Oregon a couple of times and have enjoyed it immensely. The Pacific coastline is wonderful with the cool summer breezes. But the desert area has it's own appeal. Glad you are enjoying curves. Being able to sew them will give you an advantage with a lot of the patterns.
