Quilting in CoMO
Hi! I'm new here and having a blast reading through all the quilty posts.
I'm from Columbia, MO. My Grandma was a quilter and I treasure the quilts from her. She had a treadle Singer and quilting frames my Dad built for her. All quilts were hand quilted. I think she would just be floored with the modern quilting devices and be all for it!!
I have been a crafter of some sort for... well... my whole life. About 2 years ago, I decided to navigate away from scrapbooking/cardmaking and focus on quilting. It's still a work in progress, as I try to get better at piecing and long arm quilting. My awesome brother purchased a Bernina long arm about a year ago and invited me to come play anytime I want, so of course... I do!!
Right now, I'm working on a BOM and Bonnie Hunter's Mystery Quilt. I'm also helping my stepdaughter (16yo) finish a quilt for a friend for Christmas. She's getting bitten by the textile bug, too.

Howdy from the northwest coast. I started quilting some 40+ years ago when I was 17, so more power to you and your step daughter. It's nice to have a hobby to share -- and a brother to share a long arm with! What a family
