Hi from Illinois. I'm new to this and need some help with
wallhangings. Do you need to use batting for wallhangings the same
way you do for quilts? Do you need batting for table runners too?
I've been making lap quilts and decided to branch out and make
other things but none of the instructions tell me whether to use
batting or not and its really making me "Batty". Tee hee, sorry
couldn't resist.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Welcome!! You still need to use batting on your wallhangings.
Same as runners, or placemats.
Hope this helps. Small projects are fun to do in between larger projects.
You get to see something get finished. :D

Thanks so much gals.
I like the idea of using flannel, I have some really ugly flannel
that was given to me and since it was from a friend I really
couldn't throw it away. I'm doing sashiko on black fabric and
appliqueing butterflies on it. It'll be really pretty when I get it
finished and no one will know about the ugly flannel. YAY!
Thanks again.
