2013 Bonnie Hunter Mystery Celtic Solstice
#241
Productive day yesterday.....got all my right and left side chevrons sewn and trimmed. Today I'll be sewing the sides together to complete the units. Then I've got to go back and start sewing the clue 1 pieces that are already cut out but haven't been started. On my way to the sewing room now.........!!

I like everyone's colors! Monday linkie was a quilt smorgasboard!
I have 10 #2 units to sew together and I'm finished with the chevrons. So far I'm really happy with my 4 colors and 1 neutral.
good job everyone!
Those of you doing InkLingo, I understood from one of the blogs you got all your shapes at once. Do you think this will weaken the idea of a mystery? So many people are so smart, seems like they'd be on to what is going forward. I thought about it because there were a number of good looking assembled blocks this week already, so I don't think I'll follow the linkie the rest of the mystery.

Now I'm off to make a piano key border for my leaders and enders project.

I am not one of those smart people so it's still a big mystery to me! LOL
The shapes are pretty much what you would expect a Bonnie quilt to use...squares, triangles and the parallellograms of course.
If you want to see the shapes here they are...but know that if you are one of those smarties afore mentioned you might be spoiled LOL

Finally finished all of the Clue 2 chevrons and completed half of the orange/blue Clue 1 pieces. Hopefully I can spend some time sewing tomorrow to finish up Clue 1 pieces so I'll be ready for this Friday's clue. I'm struggling with the "scrappy" piecing because I'm kind of a matchy-matchy person. Some of that is showing in my chevrons....just couldn't bring myself to use 6 different fabrics in each unit. Sewing orange and blue together is difficult for me, too, but I will do this!

Your patches look perfect, Podunk. I'm struggling with getting mine square. Just watched the Inklingo videos and I'm thinking maybe that was the way for me to go. How did you do yours?
