Exeter, Ontario, Canada quilt shop closing sale
Linda Bartlett, the owner of my LQS, Quilts and Calicos in Exeter, Ontario, Canada has decided to retire, and has put her quilt shop up for sale, both the business and her two buildings. If it does not sell, I am sad to say that she is closing this summer. In the meantime, she is reducing the price of her fabric, patterns and books by 30%, and there is an amazing selection.

I had seen that on her site awhile back and was sad to see that her decision had been made.
I've only been to Q+C a few times and totally envied the quilters in the area who had local access to this shop. I even got to check out The Cottage, as what I wanted was in the fabric selections there, so they sent me up the street.
I'm far enough away that I don't think I'll be getting there before they close. It sure would be nice if someone jumped in and purchased it.
Likewise, Reichards in Elmira has been for sale for awhile now too.

My local lqs was 'sold' to 2 of her employees. The employees didn't have $ but she came up with a way to manage it for them. They have since taken in another partner--I think for liquidity, and it is struggling, but hopefully it will work.
