Ok yes I took the break and remember again all the quilts that have been in nearly every episode. Mary Ellen's quilt was done with some of my favorite colors. The soft peach and melon tones and the Dresden patterns! Need to add that one to my bucket list! Thanks for the link!

My story has nothing to do with quilting but does have to do with the Waltons. I use to watch the show all the time when I was a kid. (Still do sometimes) Back in the 70's while watching the show I asked my Mom why Grandma always called Grandpa an "Old Fool". I was raised to never call anyone a fool. She didn't know but told me if I wanted to write Grandma and ask, I could. So I wrote. A while later I received a reply. I got a hand written letter from Grandma explaining even though it isn't right to call someone a fool, when she does it, it's meant as a "term of endearment". She also sent a signed black and white picture of her and Grandpa made out to me. Will also signed it.
I have that picture framed with the letter and the envelope behind the picture all in her handwriting. One of the coolest things I have ever gotten. :O)
