"Buhoogee" quilting hoop
#1
I had the opportunity to use the rectangle one and it's so nice. I don't do much hoop quilting but I want one of these for when I do. I found blogs where other quilters say how great they are. A search brought up a few on Ebay. Anyone know a online store that sells these in all sizes? The hoop for those that don't know, has a bungee type cord that holds the quilt on the hoop.

I found a picture of the hoops but the shop does not sell online. No one answers the phone there either. I'll try calling tomorrow. Anyone live close to

I have one that I've had for a number of years. I handquilted a throw sized log cabin on it about 10 years ago. I don't hand quilt so much anymore because of rheumatoid arthritis, but I got that hoop out a month or so ago because I thought I'd try and hand quilt a wallhanging I have sitting here undone. My log cabin had polyester batting in it, and I didn't have any trouble with using that hoop, but now I use only Warm and Natural batting, and I had a lot of trouble keeping the quilt in that hoop. The bungee cord kept slipping off. Just thought I'd mention it. (But mine is the round one).

Thanks for the info. The quilt I was handquilting with this hoop this past weekend had cotton batting. The cord seemed to hold just fine. Maybe the cord on yours needs replacing? That may be something to think about, where would I find replacement cords. I have seen the bungee cords in the sporting goods store.
