advice for quilting ?

Hello,
I have this King size Quilt, hand applique and I’d already quilted until the 2° bicolour border. I need to know if I have to quilt the cross hatched first and then the appliqued fan and bow, or quilt everything at the same time?
Thank you for your help!
Patricia

Hi, What a beautiful quilt. I would stitch in the ditch around the borders and the beautiful corners motifs. I would cross hatch all the white areas.
A change of quilting style when there is a large amount of background creates a lot of interest and is very eye appealing.
Hope that helps. You can always pm me if you want more info on this.

I agree with Tussymussy.....FMQ or Feathers would also look very nice with your lovely pattern. It's a beautiful quilt!

Thank you,
what is FMQ?
I got this quilt just sewed and I made the hand appliqué and I’m still doing the hand quilting part. I really like it!

FMQ means free motion quilting. you need a quilting free motion foot and need to drop your feeders. then you can move the quilt when you stitch it and make lovely designs with the machine quilting
