Another binding question
#1
I have the log cabin quilt top finished, but now comes the time to cut the binding.
I am shy in having enough of the (stupid) green fabric left to make the binding 2 1/4" and fold in half like I normally do. I seem to have read that sometimes one can use a single fold of fabric instead of the double fold. If I use this method, I have enough fabric.
My question is - if you have done this, did you find the binding wore out quicker than it did with the double fold?
It's not an option to buy more fabric, I am determined to use my stash! :)
Thanks for your suggestions.

I haven't made any with a single fold, so I can't comment on that, but what if you pick something else from your stash and made the faux piping? Here's a link to the tutorial.

Just like a log cabin block.

Actually, I am trying to use this green for 2 reasons.
#1 - it matches both top and backing perfectly.
#2, my husband didn't like the beige as the binding and it doesn't really look that good with the backing.
