Last year I found a lovely LQS close to work. I thought "how convenient" while DH mentioned that it could be quite the temptation. Well - no worries there because it closed shop last week. The owners retired and I wish them well. But.... Bummer!
So I was gearing up to take a trip to the other LQS in Sacramento. Tonight, as I was cleaning out my SPAM folder, I found an email from that store that they are out of business as well. The owner needs to take care of her health and I wish her well. But still... Double-bummer!
Now I went from Madquilter to Sadquilter.

Seems like there are fewer and fewer quilt shops, at least in this part of the world! Guess it is the economy/online shops, but how sad! I have one nice shop about 45 minutes away, after that is is 1 1/2- 2 hr drive...

I understand times are tough, but I can't believe a shop can't stay open in an area like Sacramento.
Sorry for the double whammy. Maybe someone will be inspired to open up a new store in that area and you'll be back in business. :)
